As 2020 begins to draw to a close, there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the pandemic in 2021 as vaccine deployment begins across the country and our state. However, in the months ahead our state and communities will continue to be challenged by the public health and economic impacts of COVID-19.

What can we do during this challenging period? First, it is critically important we remain vigilant in adhering to public health guidelines, like wearing a mask and social distancing. These small, individual actions we make each day add up to a very large collective impact that helps keep our communities healthy and businesses open.

Second, we can all lead by example and share with colleagues, friends, and family the actions we are taking to keep our communities healthy and on the road the recovery. The NH Commerce Corridor has launched two pledge programs in an effort help us all lead by example in our efforts to be COVID-19 safe.

Take the Business Pledge to Help Keep NH Healthy and Our Economy Open!

This pledge program is intended for business owners, managers, and supervisors who have implemented COVID-19 safe protocols into their day-to-day operations and are working to ensure they are following the State of NH’s universal and industry specific re-opening guidelines.

Take the Customer Pledge to Support Local Businesses and Keep NH Healthy!

This pledge program is for individuals to who love to shop, dine, and buy local. Supporting local small businesses is one of the most important steps we can take as individuals to help our business community right now. It is equally important that when shop, dine, or buy local, we are patient and respectful by safely following the guidelines put in place by our favorite local businesses.

Participating in these pledge programs will help our Chamber measure, promote, and amplify the hard work, dedication, and commitment our community has to supporting one another through these challenging times. What else can you do?

  • Download, print and display, and/or share on your social media one of the COVID-19 Safe posters and graphics our Chamber coalition has developed.

  • Tell us your story! How have you creatively adapted your business to be COVID-19 safe?

  • Support our small businesses! Dine, shop, buy local – our small businesses have always been there for us, now it is time to be there for them.

This effort is being offered through The NH Commerce Corridor, an initiative of the seven Chambers of Commerce from across the southern and capital regions of New Hampshire and in partnership with the NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs through the Chamber Partnership Program.
